Every request needs two things: an API key, and the ID of the workspace it belongs to.

Create an API key

1

Open Developer settings

In Ankra, go to Settings › Developer. You need to be a workspace admin.
2

Generate a key

Click Generate key, give it a name such as Main game or Discord bot, then click Generate.
3

Copy it

Copy the key from the window that opens. It starts with ws_. Ankra shows the full key only once.
To replace a key, generate a new one and delete the old one. Anything using a deleted key stops working straight away.

Send the key

Put the key in the Authorization header, and your workspace ID in the workspace_id query parameter:
Your workspace ID is in your Ankra address: …/bbd141b5b331fb8222065601/staff. Settings › Developer shows it too. Each key only works for the workspace it was created in.
An API key can change your workspace’s data. Keep it on your servers: in a Roblox server script, a bot or a backend. Never put it in a LocalScript, a website’s browser code, or a public repository.

Try it here

Every endpoint page has a playground. Click Try it, enter your key and workspace ID, and send a real request to your workspace.
