# Logbook

> Promotions, demotions, warnings, suspensions and notes, on each person's record.

Every staff profile has a **Logbook** tab: the person's record, newest first. Reading it needs the **View logbooks** permission, and writing it needs **Manage staff**. People can always read their own record.

## Log an entry

**1. Open their logbook**

Open the person's profile and select **Logbook**, then click **New entry**.

**2. Write it**

The first line is the entry's title. To start from a template, click **Template**.

**3. Choose the kind**

Use the arrow on the **Log** button to pick the kind of entry, then click **Log**.

| Kind | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Note** | A note on their record. |
| **Promotion** / **Demotion** | Can rank them up or down in your group at the same time, with **Rank to**. |
| **Warning** | Counts towards their warnings. Set **Amount of warnings** to give several at once. |
| **Warning Revocation** | Takes warnings back off. |
| **Suspension** | Ranks them down while suspended, and back when it ends. Set how many days it lasts, or leave it until lifted. |
| **Termination** | Can rank them to your lowest rank. |
| **Reminder** | A reminder on their record. |

> **Rank to** only appears once [Auto Ranking](https://prismspace-5c919a09.mintlify.site/ankra/settings/auto-ranking.md) is connected. If Roblox refuses the rank change, nothing is logged.

## Edit or delete an entry

Click the pencil on an entry to edit its text. You can only edit entries you wrote. Click the bin to delete an entry. You'll be asked to confirm.

## System entries

Entries logged by your game or through the [API](https://prismspace-5c919a09.mintlify.site/ankra/api-reference/introduction.md) show **System** with the Ankra logo, because no one in the workspace wrote them.

## Templates

Templates are starting points for common entries. Manage them in **Settings › Logbook**. A template can use `{name}` for the person, `{me}` for you, and `{date}` for today.
