# Quickstart

> Connect your Roblox group, choose who counts as staff, and start tracking activity.

You need to be a workspace admin for every step here. Everything is under **Settings**, at the bottom of the sidebar.

**1. Connect your Roblox group**

Open **Settings › General** and enter your **Roblox group ID**. It's the number in your group's address on Roblox: `roblox.com/communities/`**`123456`**`/…`.

**2. Choose who counts as staff**

Open **Settings › Activity Tracking** and switch on each rank that is staff. Everyone in those ranks appears on the roster, and their time in game is recorded.

**3. Set up roles**

Open **Settings › Roles** to decide what each role can see and do, such as who can write in the logbook or approve time off. See [Roles and permissions](https://prismspace-5c919a09.mintlify.site/ankra/settings/roles-and-permissions.md).

**4. Add the activity loader to your game**

On **Settings › Activity Tracking**, generate the loader and download it. Put the script in **ServerScriptService**, then turn on **Game Settings › Security › Allow HTTP Requests** in Roblox Studio. **5. Connect Auto Ranking (optional)**

To promote and demote people from Ankra, open **Settings › Auto Ranking › Configuration** and sign in with a Roblox account that can change ranks in your group. See [Auto Ranking](https://prismspace-5c919a09.mintlify.site/ankra/settings/auto-ranking.md).

> Activity isn't recorded in Roblox Studio play tests, so your own testing doesn't show up on the leaderboard. Join the live game to check it works.
